living by the four agreements

Recently I have read the book The Four Agreements, for the second time! It is such a great book to reference to! I've found that it helps me stay in tune with my true self. It's very easy to get distracted in life with not always positive things. Negativity can take over and you suddenly feel a bit off or like a toxic person, maybe even fixating on things that in the end really don't matter. As a yogi I'm striving to be the best version of myself and now that I am a mother I really want to be aware of what kind of energy I am radiating out around my daughter. "Energy is feeling in motion." Energy is a powerful thing you could be having an awesome time somewhere and all of a sudden your vibe is thrown off by negative energy. That is why it is important to surround yourself around people who make you feel good and who inspire you. Life's too short to feel insecure or to hang around people who don't honour who you are or who don't know your worth. It's important to not pass judgement on these people and also to not take what they say or do personally. A lot of the time when people are passing off negativity it's because they are internally hurting or have their own work to do. We all have our own work to do and sometimes people are just doing the best they can. Be kind to yourself, be kind to others and if your looking for a new book to read I highly recommend The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
I will list below the four agreements to live by everyday.

-Be impeccable with your word
-Don't take anything personally
-Don't make assumptions
-Always do your best

Nourishing Your Beautiful Body

"You are what you eat", everyone has heard this saying before and its true, believe it. Why eat food that doesn't nourish your body and that makes you feel like crap.Healthy eating will change your life, you will feel better and look better, you will glow!I recently purchased this book called "0h She Glows", thanks to my mom. It's a vegan cook book with simple easy delicious recipes. The cookie recipe in the book so far is my favourite and you wouldn't think that vegan chocolate chip cookies would be as delicious as these ones.  I think in society today we don't spend enough time in the kitchen, it's too easy to buy processed food, order in or eat out. Since I've been on maternity leave I've had more time in the kitchen and to research new recipes and books. Before I was working full time plus teaching yoga twice a week and wasn't watching what I was putting into my body, I was eating out a lot and let's just say Starbucks and me had a steady relationship. Now that I am home more and have a four month old I don't eat out as much and can't believe the savings in money, even considering that I buy organic and love going to the health food store. Buying whole foods and flirting with veganism has been my key to healthy eating. I'll share below a list of groceries that are a staple in my house.
